VERY COMPREHENSIVE AND SPECIFICALLY DETAILED!!

Are you a practicing antenna engineer and researcher in the industry and academia? If you are, then this book is for you. Author/editor Satish K Sharma and editors Sudhakar Rao and Lotfollah Shafai, have done an outstanding job of managing and writing a book that provides practical applications and design information of reflector antennas that are used for several communications systems.
Authors Rao and Shafai, begin with a brief introduction of the history of reflector antennas and its basics. Next, authors Sudhakar Rao and C. Babu Ravipati, address different types of reflector antennas that are used for satellite communications, including an introduction to payload systems and an antenna farm. Then, authors Yoshio Inasawa, Michio Takikawa, Shin-ichi Yamamoto and Yoshihiko Konishi, provide past and recent developments on reflector antennas for terrestrial communications applications. In addition, authors G. Chattopadhyay, A. Freni, N. Llombart and A. Neto, describe the use of focusing and nonfocusing reflector systems for terahertz imaging applications. Author Sudhakar Rao, also discusses recent developments in the area of multiband reflector antennas and associated feed horns. Authors Paolo Focardi and Richard E. Hodges, continue with a discussion of reflector antennas that are used for remote sensing of the Earth and other bodies in the solar system, relevant sensor technologies to detect and classify objects by means of propagated electromagnetic radiation. Best resource for spacecraft comm antennas

It is good to finally get a book with most material on spacecraft communications antennas. I am especially grateful for the material on physical design of antennas, on testing, and on deployable reflectors, as I was already familiar with almost all of the MBA material from his authoritative papers.
